Sitting behind the computer with my broken leg, I feel powerless and miserable.

Then I hear God's words spoken by my Pastor, "Give God a moment!"

2 Corinthians 4:17 says, 'This light affliction, which is only FOR A MOMENT, is working for you a far greater outcome'.
I side up with Pastor confessing: All things are working together for my good, because God loves me and I love him. What seems to be against me, is temporary. It is changing as I speak. God is at work in me, and he is perfecting my character and opening doors for a better future, in Jesus' Name!

"Where is your attitude-of-gratitude now?" the enemy whispered.

I fractured my foot last night, and the excruciating pain took my breath away. "Where is your attitude-of-gratitude now?" the enemy whispered rubbing his hands.

During my long stay at the emergency room I figured out how to get my attitude-of-gratitude back.

·        ·        I am grateful that I didn't hit my head and faint, I thought. It was a hot day and the temperature in the garage, where I fell, would have done additional damage to my body.

·        "I am grateful I was able to ask my son for help. He drove me all the way to the hospital. My three boys carried me to the car," I told the nurse.

·        I am grateful I have a good insurance to take care of the expenses, I whispered to my son.

·        "I am grateful that I was encouraged the previous day by the miraculous healing of Oso, our dog, after we prayed," I said.

·        I am grateful Jesus healed my husband's arm without doctor's intervention as well. He was bitten by a stray can and the arm was red and swollen. We prayed and the infection disappeared.

·        I am happy I know the Healer, and believe that miracles are acts of grace and they happen in an atmosphere of expectation.

     This is my attitude today: "I take God at his Word and expect him to work another healing miracle in my midst, just as he promised, in Jesus' Name!"

 

Something Wonderful is About to Happen Today!

"This is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice & be glad in IT," says the psalmist in Psalm 118:24.

       I want to adopt the same attitude. Instead of making schedules and To Do lists, I will start my day putting together my Gratitude List. I will remember at least five things the Lord did for me the previous day and I will expect new miracles to happen today. If he was able to heal me yesterday, God will surely cure me today. If he loved me when I was a sinner and a daughter of the devil, how much more God loves me now when I am his child. If he could keep me safe and give me peace beyond understanding in the midst of yesterday's storm, he will by all means lead me to a safe place in my journey today.

       I wake up each day thankful for the gift of Life with the thought that something wonderful is about to happen. I am his beloved. This is my day, a gift from my Creator, and I rejoice in it in Jesus' name.

Think resurrection!

I believed my bad past determined my  unpromising future. Then I heard Pastor preaching, "Think resurrection! If Jesus rose from the dead, your bad situation can turn around."

Paul, the apostle, said the same thing in a powerful way, "We felt like…it was all over for us. As it turned out, it was the best thing that could have happened. Instead of trusting in our own strength to get out of it, we were forced to trust God totally—not a bad idea since He’s the God who raises the dead!" (2 Corinthians 1:9 MSG)

Fear versus Hope

Fear shows us scenes of violence, tragedies, reports on instability around the world. Every day we witnesses heartaches. Yes, the future seems uncertain and bleak.

But this is not what the bible says. God assures us in Jeremiah 29:11, "…I know the plans I have for you…to give you hope and a  future…."

John 16:13, also, says the Holy Spirit will reveal to us the things to come. Our future is not a mystery hidden from us.

Also, Our future is not determined by random luck; but by the seeds we saw. God gave us seedtime and harvest to eliminate fear, and shape our future. (Genesis 8:22)

I am determined to plant good seeds today for my tomorrow.

He Gives Power to the Weak

Fear affects many of our decisions. We often think we are powerless, saying, "I can't do that. I don't think I am capable of doing it. I am just an ordinary woman." But look what the bible says in Isaiah 40:
^"He (God) gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint."

The key point is to trust God.
